Today’s sixth form students are tomorrow's leaders. With this in mind we provide a variety of ways for our sixth form students to show their leadership potential.
At Outwood Academy Easingwold Post 16 centre our students take part in a wide range of leadership activities. These include; planning and delivering assemblies to the wider school, running mock elections, acting as peer mentors for younger students in school and volunteering to support younger students in lessons. Our students also take part in the Princes’ Trust Money Makers scheme, a team competition that requires members to bring their innovative, creative and entrepreneurial ideas to life, running a business to raise money for the Princes’ Trust.
In the past two years our sixth form students have established and led some of the following societies and groups: a school newspaper, a bee garden, a debating club, a photography club and a languages group. Our year 12 and 13 students are also heavily involved in leading the “Back Stage Crew” which supports at all of our concerts and performances.
